The current childcare landscape is dire. Providers, mostly women of color, are shouldering the burden of a system on the brink of collapse. They work long hours and use professional skills on the job for low wages, often with no benefits or job security. Parents are struggling to afford care, forced to make impossible choices between their livelihoods and their children's well-being. And our economy is suffering as a result. We know that together, we can win the childcare system — and the care economy — we all deserve.
