Pamela, Trump just started his address to Congress.
Whether or not you're tuning in tonight or watching clips with your coffee in the morning, we know there's a whole lot he won't be saying on that stage tonight. Trump won't be saying that under his administration prices are soaring. He won't say that nearly 1,000 clean energy jobs have been lost or threatened every day he's been in office. He won't be candid about all he's doing to roll back our climate progress, so his Big Oil backers see higher profits.
So tonight, our job is to make sure we're saying what he won't: Trump is raising costs for our families and undermining our clean energy future.

No matter what Trump is saying right now, his intentions to destroy our climate progress, kill clean energy jobs, and hurt American families are clear:
-
We know that the Big Oil industry spent a whopping $450 million to influence Trump and Republicans during the 2024 election cycle. Now, they're expecting a return on their investment.
-
Trump has empowered Elon Musk to work to dismantle FEMA, NOAA, and even privatize the National Weather Service -- the departments and services that predict and respond to extreme weather disasters.
-
In his first week, Trump issued an executive order "redefining" energy to exclude wind and solar, the cheapest energy out there.
-
Trump's multi-front war on clean energy has already killed or threatened more than 42,000 clean energy jobs.
-
He's put Big Oil lackeys in charge of the EPA and the Department of Energy and an Oil and Gas lobbyist in charge of our public lands.
And we don't need to hear what he says tonight to confirm what we already know: Donald Trump is hindering our government's ability to tackle the climate crisis and pursue affordable and reliable clean energy solutions to benefit his Big Oil and corporate backers.
So, we're fighting back. At Climate Power, we're making sure people understand the benefits of clean energy investments, and we're doing everything in our power to stop Donald Trump and Elon Musk's attacks on our climate progress.
With you in this fight,
The Climate Power team
