This week, the Trump administration took an axe to the Department of Education—reducing the critical agency to just half and laying off a thousand civil servants investigating sexual assault cases, defending the civil rights of students, and holding scammy colleges accountable. Make no mistake: these massive cuts will make our nation's schools and campuses less safe and our students less prepared to succeed—all while giving tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires.
