SURVEY: Are Democrats doing everything they can to stop Trump?

What do you think?

Dear MoveOn member,

As President Trump and Elon Musk unleash new horrors on our country and around the world each day, there's an intense internal debate engulfing Democrats. The question at hand? Whether Democratic elected officials should oppose Trump at every turn, strategically retreat and wait for the backlash against Republicans to grow, or even try to find some common ground with MAGA Republicans.1

As a MoveOn member, your opinion on this debate matters. Fill out the survey and share your thoughts on how Democrats should be operating at this moment.

Over the past few weeks, as Republicans push forward a disastrous agenda, we've seen a wide range of responses from and postures proposed by Democrats.

Take, for example, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. Last week, he cast his vote along with Senate Republicans for a Trump-approved budget bill, while other Democrats—even those in frontline House seats—were not willing to play ball with Republicans.

Weeks earlier, longtime Democratic consultant James Carville argued in a New York Times op-ed that the party should "roll over and play dead."2

In a different approach, elected officials—including Governor Tim Walz, Senator Bernie Sanders, and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez—have been holding town halls across the country, taking their message directly to districts represented by Republicans.

As Democrats continue to grapple with record low approval ratings, it's clear that some soul-searching is necessary.3

What's your take? Take this quick survey and share what you think.

Thanks for all you do.
