Working class Americans want change

Democrats need to challenge the system and fight for bold policies that will improve people's lives

Pamela, There are lots of theories and hot takes floating around as to what went wrong in this election. But here's something to chew on: In several states that Donald Trump won, voters passed ballot initiatives to raise the minimum wage and implement paid sick leave. Voters were signaling they felt economic pain and were unhappy with the system rigged against them but too many Democrats weren't able to articulate clearly enough on how we would actually improve people's lives. That's why I'm pushing for policies like Medicare for All, paid family and medical leave, raising the minimum wage, increasing union membership, and more. Because those kinds of policies will make a real, meaningful difference in people's lives.
