I'm so glad to have heard back from dozens of Common Cause Florida members who are ready to do what it takes for our democracy. As we look ahead to the new year and take on Trump's Project 2025 agenda, Common Cause Florida is gearing up to lead on the fights that matter most to you and stand strong against any attempt to silence our voices. We've spent years building grassroots power on the ground here in Florida – so that we can mobilize whenever necessary to protect voting rights, hold our lawmakers accountable, and defend our democracy. Here's a look at what we're planning for the coming year: Voting & Elections: Fighting back against voter suppression laws that aim to disenfranchise more Florida voters, and fighting FOR the passage of the Florida Voting Rights Act. Money in Politics: Working to increase the voice of everyday Floridians and limit the outsized influence of wealthy donors, coming off our successful defeat of Amendment 6. Direct Democracy: Protecting the citizens' initiative process for amending the Florida Constitution and defending the rights of Floridians to dissent. Pamela, none of this is possible without your support.
