In North Carolina and South Carolina, Republicans jammed through some of the most restrictive abortion bans in the country. In Florida, Ron DeSantis and Republicans have passed legislation attacking LGBTQ+ rights. Virginia Republicans have already rolled back voting rights and proposed a budget that gives the ultra-wealthy a tax break. If the GOP flips the state Senate and defends its control of the state House, abortion rights could be first up on the chopping block. Their far-right governor has already endorsed plans to threaten abortion doctors with jail time – it's terrible. With so much at stake this year, we can't lose.
