According to the Dallas Morning News: "Greg Abbott is heavily outspending rival Beto O'Rourke in the television ad war for Texas governor, showcasing the impact the Republican incumbent's stout campaign fund is having on what could be a close race."
Greg Abbott is running misleading and outright false ads about Beto, and we need your help to fight back and increase our own ad spend to make sure voters know the truth about Beto's unifying vision for Texas.
We always knew that fundraising would play a deciding role in this election. Greg Abbott pledged to spend $100,000,000 against us and he started this race with a $50 million cash advantage.
With your support, we've been able to build a volunteer army with more than 100,000 people giving their time to help elect Beto. But, we also need to make sure we're not being drowned out on the airwaves by Abbott's campaign.
We wouldn't ask if it wasn't important. But so much is on the line: Greg Abbott signed the most extreme abortion ban in the country into law — it has no exception for rape or incest — and he's taken away a woman's right to control her own body in Texas.
Abbott's plan for Texas is cruelty and extremism. And we can't allow another four years of that.
