We have a critical deadline ahead of us.
October 11 — it's the last day to register to vote in Texas ahead of the November 8th election.
Our organizing team has set a massive goal to register every Texan to vote that we can before the deadline. Our 95,000+ volunteers will be going door-to-door in neighborhoods that don't typically turn out to vote, calling Texans, and talking to students at college campuses. But we're hoping we can count on you too.
The truth is that Texas is the hardest state in the country to vote in — because of Greg Abbott.
States with secure elections across the country allow people to register to vote up until — and in some states, on — Election Day! That's not all. Unlike other states, Texas mandates that those registering voters be certified by individual counties as Volunteer Deputy Registrars.
There's one reason for this: Abbott has intentionally made it more difficult to vote because he knows that if Texans come out to vote in record numbers… he will lose.
Thank you for being a part of something that's so important,
Team Beto
