| Pamela - If we're going to tackle the climate crisis and build a more just and equitable Wisconsin, we need to invest in clean energy and green jobs while centering environmental justice. As we come out of the COVID pandemic, we have a huge opportunity to save our planet for future generations and create millions of jobs. Congress is preparing to take up significant legislation to rebuild our nation's infrastructure, and today I am asking you to join me in demanding that any infrastructure package be centered on fighting the climate crisis. Let's show that we're in this fight together: Add your name to tell Congress to take urgent action on climate change for the sake of future generations. As chair of Governor Evers' Task Force on Climate Change, I brought together a broad coalition of farmers, environmental advocates, leaders from Native Nations, and businesses to find climate solutions that work for Wisconsin. Climate change impacts us all, but we know that it has had harsher impacts on communities of color, Indigenous communities, and low-income communities. And if we fail to make environmental justice a priority, we will not be able to fully address this crisis. Governor Evers' budget includes the most ambitious climate agenda in our state's history, and we are going to keep pushing to make the necessary investments at the state level. But we need investments and support at the federal level, too. That's why I'm calling on Congress to act to address this crisis, and it's important that we show we are together on this issue. So I'm asking you directly: Sign my petition to tell Congress that you want bold action to address the climate crisis and protect our planet for generations to come. Thank you for joining the fight for a cleaner, safer, and more equitable Wisconsin. Mandela Barnes |
