Friends -
A few things we didn't want you to miss:
- Yesterday: we learned that one of our opponents told a group of wealthy donors at a private fundraiser that she's "not comfortable" with Bernie's Medicare for All plan (after co-sponsoring his bill in the Senate)
- Earlier today: another leading campaign went up with their first television ad in Iowa, which means the race is on to win the first-in-the-nation caucus
- Right now: Bernie is counting on all of us to close the fundraising gap from last quarter when we were out-raised by a few others in this race
Hundreds of thousands of donors across the country have chipped in to help build this campaign. Will you join them?
Let's be clear: Bernie doesn't go to the Hamptons to raise money from billionaires.
He doesn't need to. That's because he has all of us – supporters like you who are ready to build this movement and transform our country.
While other candidates collect $2,800 checks from the wealthy, Bernie depends on LOTS of donations at an average of $19 a piece. We need an unprecedented number of contributions to keep up, which is why we need to ask:
Thank you for all you've done – and will do – for our movement. There's only one way we win, and that is together.
In solidarity,
Faiz Shakir
